Annual St. Patrick's Day Concert
Gobs O'Phun is an Irish/Scottish acoustic folk duet from "County Denver" offering just what the name implies, lots of fun! The Gobs are Denis Sullivan and Martin Lambuth, brothers-in-law who play guitar, bodhran and harmonica to back the harmonies they have honed for decades. Gobs O'Phun performs traditional folksongs of the Celtic isles, songs that tell stories, and stories that run the gamut from silly to sad and everything in between. Much of their repertoire is robust, fast-paced and humorous, yet sprinkled with a variety of love songs, historic accounts and beautiful ballads. Folks that don't share a Celtic heritage enjoy the performances as much as the proud Irishman or fervent Scot, as the emotion and content of their songs connects common experiences between diverse demographics and multicultural backgrounds. Presented with ad-libbed humor and audience participation, they impart the feeling of gathering in the family living room, making the audience feel like part of the clan. Kick off the St. Patrick's revelry and join them for their perennial Swallow Hill concert.
