House Of Rock: Songwriting / Recording Camp (2-week camp)
Ages: 13 - 18
Ability: Intermediate Advanced
Do you have some musical ideas floating around in your head and have wondered what it would sound like with the help of real songwriters? How about adding some drums and a violin part in that chorus. This camp will help your creativity move from your heart, to the speakers and stage.
Due to popular demand, we have extended our Songwriting/Recording camp to be a two-week long experience! This will allow for more creative songwriting time, and more time in the studio! We will help you understand the intricacies of music preparation and production and will spend time in the Sawtelle Recording Studio at Swallow Hill Music to record your songs.
You will all receive a copy of the camps' CD to share with the world and continue on your creative musical journey. All instruments welcome. You do not have to identify yourself as a songwriter to join this camp. We will also guide the rhythm section and lead players on how to record their instrument, creating modern music in a professional setting.
*Family and friends will gather in Swallow Hill Music's largest concert hall on Saturday, July 29 at 2pm for a performance of the songs written at camp.
Open to all instruments (including horns). Please note that we will need to limit the number of certain instruments per camp, most notably drums. If you have any questions, please contact Cheri at 303-777-4394.
